Located at Kachalia Village of Agar District in Madhya Pradesh, the Solar PV Plants are owned by Malwa Solar Power Generation Pvt. Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Vector Green Energy Pvt. Ltd.). The electricity generated from this solar power plant is being supplied to Solar Energy Corporation of India under a long term Power Purchase Agreement.
Entering commercial operation in April of 2015, Solar Plants at Malwa are annually producing about 84.6 GWh of clean solar energy, sufficient to power on an average 71,000 Indian homes. The project will generate enough clean solar energy to displace approximately 92,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.
