Located in Gamiwala and Hakamwala Villages of Mansa District in Punjab, the Sunshine Solar PV Plant is owned by Vector Green Sunshine Pvt. Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Vector Green Energy Pvt. Ltd.). The electricity generated from this solar power plant is being supplied through the grid to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited under a long term Power Purchase Agreement.
Entering commercial operation in March of 2016, the Sunshine Solar plant is annually producing about 32.0 GWh of clean solar energy sufficient to power on an average 27,000 Indian homes. The project will generate enough clean solar energy to displace approximately 31,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.
