Vector Green Energy Private Limited is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of India Infrastructure Fund – II, set up to own and operate its renewable investments.
IIF II is a Category-I Alternative Investment Fund registered with Securities Exchange Board of India. IIF II has commitments of USD 900 million from renowned international institutional investors including pension funds, financial institutions and sovereign wealth funds.
IIF II’s mandate is to invest equity capital across the core infrastructure sectors of power, roads, ports, urban and social infrastructure sectors in India. The fund has invested or committed to invest thus far across renewables, thermal power, roads, telecom towers and logistics sectors across 16 companies.
IIF II is managed by Global Infrastructure Partners India LLP – an affiliate of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). GIP is an independent infrastructure fund manager that combines deep industry expertise with industrial best practice operational management. GIP manages over $45 billion for its investors. Additionally, the companies in GIP’s portfolio have combined annual revenues greater than $5 billion and employ approximately 21,000 people.
Mr. Aggarwal has over 20 years of experience across banking and financial services with a focus on equity investing, project finance, fund raising and advisory services. As a part of the leadership team at GIP India, he primarily focuses on origination, evaluation and capital deployment across infrastructure sectors along with managing the portfolio and creating exits. His current specific responsibilities also include fund raising, LP engagement and overseeing the build out of Vector Green, the renewable platform. He is a member of the Investment Committee and represents the Funds on the Boards of various Portfolio Companies.
In his earlier role, Mr. Aggarwal was a founding member of the core investment team at IDFC Alternatives which set up IDFC’s Infrastructure Funds business comprising two funds with an aggregate corpus of US$ 2 billion. Previously, he was with IDFC as a senior member of the project finance team and prior to that with Standard Chartered Bank where he primarily worked on regional structured and project finance transactions.
Mr Aggarwal is a member of Emerging Markets Private Equity Association’s (EMPEA) Global Energy and Infrastructure Council. He is also a speaker at various national and international conferences and industry events and regular contributor to national and international publications.
Mr. Bisht has over fifteen years of experience in making and managing investments in the Indian infrastructure space. Prior to Global Infrastructure Partners India LLP, he has worked with IDFC Alternatives Limited, Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, SDG India and CRISIL Limited.
Mr. Bisht holds a Master in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi.
Mr Goel has over sixteen years of experience at infrastructure equity investments, investment banking and management consulting principally in the energy and infrastructure sectors. In his earlier role, Mr Goel was a Director with IDFC Alternatives. He has earlier worked for Actis Infrastructure Fund, HSBC Investment Banking, DSP Merrill Lynch and McKinsey & Co.
Mr Goel holds a Post Graduate qualification in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
